Magickal Mystery Tour
No, this has nothing to do with the Beatles... rather with Herman Slater's of the Magickal Childe, short lived cable TV show which featured guests from all backgrounds. Broadcast mainly in Mahnattan, Living in Queens I was able to see and record it over UHF ( remember UHF?).
I am presenting here the audio from 2 shows. They were recorded 'in the air' meaning on a cheap cassette player with a handheld microphone held close to the TV's speaker, so the quality is what it is.
I have yet to digitize the 2 shows I believe I have on VHS tape. They too would be pretty bad recordings, but until others materialize, they'll have to do.
Note: On these audio clips, there is a duplicate. I'll eliminate it once I isolate it.
The Jan 9, 1988 Show -the 5th show - featured Dr DePrince (Voudoun) and Paul Valentine (Worldwide Church of Satanic Liberation)
The second show ( I believe Dec 13, 1987) featured Lady Rhea (Empress, Enchanted Candle, Dressing Candles) and Kay Faraday(Ferriday ?) (Tarot)
UPDATE (April 4, 2022): I am including a short video excerpt from the show with Lady Rhea. The video, from my personal archive, is not great for the same reason above it was recorded on VHS from a UHF TV, which always had bad reception. But as these 2 tapes seem to be the only video in existence( I still hope good clean version come to the light of all the shows), we'll have to make do. Enjoy.
